In the ad game you have to ask yourself – how would Darren do it?
The name Darren Stephens has been a part of the advertising scene for a long time. The name you recognize has a voice you’ve heard on hundreds of regional and national television and radio campaigns. Clients include McDonald’s, Corona, Glidden Paint, Ball Park Franks, Monroe Shocks, Friendly’s Restaurants, Chase Bank, STA-BIL, and countless others. His voiceover site is www.darrensvoice.com. On-camera, he's appeared in Chicago Fire, two episodes of Chicago PD,, in television commercials, as the anchorman for the Onion News Network as creepy Cousin Barry in the movie Teenage Ghost punk and in many corporate and non-corporate filmed projects large and small.
Darren has also served at live events as a presenter, show host and emcee, and as a public address "Voice of God" for corporate events or stadium shows such as the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games at Soldier Field. He's performed in regional theater around the country and in Chicago, and in improvisational comedy groups such as Baby Wants Candy, the Free Associates and in the Second City House Improv Musical Ensemble. Listen to odd, random musings at the comedy podcast Gallery of the Mundane and Fantastic. Harmony singing groups have included The Four Guys Standing Around Singing, Relative Obscurity and The Famous Brothers, currently performing original humorous songs in three-part bluegrass harmony.
Darren has a B.F.A. in Speech and Theatre, and an M.F.A. in Acting from Ohio University.
